This was seriously the best food we had on the island (and we’ve eaten well)! All of it was locally grown so when I say fresh, I mean FRESH fruit. The presentation was gorgeous and the flavors were mouthwatering. We had the dragonfruit bowl (a seasonal special), the Hana bowl and the strawberry glow smoothie (also a special). So, so yummy!!! The young couple that own this business are passionate about what they do and their love for Maui. The drive to Hana is stunning in itself but make sure you get there in time to make a stop here. Pin the location first as you probably will not have cell service in this area.

Hana bowls is the best açaí I’ve had on Maui! Super friendly people, gave us great advice on where to go get lunch and what activities we should do today. This bowl is their OG!

The only thing this place is missing is a place to sit down while you eat or wait for your order. I understand it is a food truck so grab food and go, but açaí bowls aren’t exactly the item I want in my car while trying to drive to somewhere else to eat it. The bowls and smoothies were amazing tho so if you’re fine with taking it elsewhere in your car I would 100% recommend stopping here!

Hana Bowls and the wonderful owners deserve higher than 5 stars! I found this place based on the delicious photos from other reviews while we stayed out at JJ's Farm in Hana. My daughter and I stopped on our way to Waianapanapa State Park. The truck is adorable, as is the couple who own it. They were super friendly and so patient while we took forever to make our choices - even allayed my concerns about whether the spirulina powder would overpower the bowl (it wouldn't, they assured me!). I ended up going with the classic Hana bowl and my daughter got the Cacao bowl. The bowls are created beautifully and clearly lovingly. They seem to enjoy what they do. Both were absolutely delicious, packed with flavors and toppings (layered in there, too, not just all on top for the pictures!). We also got an iced coffee and an iced coconut latte (I think - it was my daughter's drink and it was on the specials menu but they were able to accommodate her lactose intolerance with almond/coconut milk at my request). Both were perfect. We visited just the day before the fires broke out in Maui. I'm really hoping that they are able to sustain their business with the devastation on the other side of the island. If you do go to Hana, please make sure to visit them and support them.

If you’re headed out to the breathtaking town of Hana, do yourself a favor and stop at Hana Bowls—a small roadside trailer serving up hands-down the best açaí bowls and smoothies I’ve had anywhere on the island. This spot is a gem, run by a super friendly and welcoming young couple who clearly put their heart into everything they do. They source their fresh fruit locally, and you can taste the difference in every bite and sip. Everything is vibrant, refreshing, and made with care. After the long (but beautiful) 2+ hour drive from Kihei, Hana Bowls is exactly the kind of healthy, delicious treat you didn’t know you needed—but will absolutely crave again. Honestly, I’d say it’s worth the drive all by itself. If you’re in the area—or planning to be—don’t miss this local treasure. You won’t regret it! **** Cell service is not good on that side of the island. Pin the location before you go. They are easy to find, turn off main road and head to the lava tubes, it’s about 100’ down on the right

Absolutely a must. The girls that run it are so sweet, kind, and accommodating!! She subbed the granola in the açaí bowl for a gluten/dairy/egg free granola. I picked up a bowl on our way down Hana Highway and then stopped again for a soursop smoothie for the drive back. Both were delicious and well priced. For my gluten free gals, I recommend stopping at Hana Farms for some delicious gluten free pizza too (1 min away)
